I received prompt and exemplary care from Scott Wenk, DDS, MD, and his staff at Suncoast Oral Surgery Specialists in Sarasota while visiting Venice, Florida in early May 2026. He provided emergency treatment for an abscess which involved facial swelling, expanding infection, and potential loss of a tooth. Dr. Wenk’s prompt intervention and follow-up to treat the abscess, plus an antibiotic prescribed by my regular (out-of-state) dentist successfully stabilized the condition. Follow-up endodontic treatment when I returned home preserved the tooth and the infection resolved. I was incredibly fortunate to be referred to Dr. Wenk by the Comfortable Care Dental Clinic in Venice, where I was graciously seen on an emergency basis as a walk-in patient.
